Sunday, June 4, 2017 - A private lunch (Restaurant The Woodspeen *, Woodspeen (Newbury), UK): An off-dry dessert wine from the island of Ischia, made with Biancolella 40%, Forastera 30%, Uva Rilla 10% , San Lunardo 10% and Coglionara 10%, 18 months in oak, 6 months in bottle, 14% ABV. Medium amber golden colour; very aromatic nose of peach, bitter orange and warm spice, floral lift, good depth; the palate is rich and full but drier than the nose would suggest, with refreshing acidity; perfumed finish, good length.
