Tuesday, April 9, 2013 - I noticed that Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate rated this wine at 92 pts., thought it had a lot of complexity and, in short, thought it was a stunning wine. I tend to follow the feedback of fellow CT members over the professional reviewers, but in this case I don't understand the big difference in commentary (not numerical rating) on the wine by the two groups. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

4/10/2013 11:10:00 AM - I think it could be answered simply by saying that people love to hate Parker and the style they believe he stands for. In my opinion he stands for well made technically sound wines that deliver delicious drinking pleasure. For those folks that don't like Parker, or his views on wine, any opportunity to "prove" him wrong is welcome...whether it is with scores and comments on this site or the other wine BB of the universe.

As a secondary issue I think that folks here tend to knock down scores a couple of points off the reviews.

Whatever the reason having had this wine multiple times I agree with Parker 100%...this delivers massive QPR and for that reason alone it is 90+ in my book. I drink plenty of $75+ bottles that can't deliver what this does for $10.
