Friday, May 24, 2013 - Grabbed some after seeing that RP scored this a 92, which is eyeopening for a sub-$10 bottle. Not typically of fan of 100% grenache, but always willing to see if something can get me exited about it. While I don't doubt that RP saw this as an interesting wine when he sampled it, it has not turned into anything beyond a pleasant, basic table wine. Flavor profile is not particularly expressive. Of course there are much worse wines for sub-$10, but having recently discovered the 2011 Bodegas Ateca "Garnacha de Fuego-Old Vines" Calatayud for the same money, I would go for the latter, which offers more character.
