Thursday, November 26, 2020 - Brick fading to crimson then rose. Rim variation consistent with age. A few bubbles on Day 1. Medium plus legs. Very good clarity Day 1; by Day 2, light sediment apparent. Aromas are a mix of black and red fruit dominant: black currant, raspberry, cranberry, cherry. Also noted are prune, light toast. On the palate, red fruits more prominent and black olive, eucalyptus emerge. No smoke noted.Medium to full body, medium plus finish, medium minus acidity. Texture is polished and smooth. Impression: varietally correct, balanced, and complex. At $34 with tasting room purchase, QPR is average. Drink now or next year.
