Thursday, June 18, 2015 - Deep purple core. Precise bouquet of black and blue berries, violets, herbs, sappiness, cracked pepper, dust, mineral ores, and crushed granite. Ultra polished and smooth on a palate that tastes as it smells. Medium to medium plus body, medium plus acid, light tannin, well balanced, wholly agreeable finish, utterly delicious.

This is unlikely to be a long-lived wine as it does not have the substance one might expect from the mid palate back. A reasonable comparison to this wine is the 2009 Cheval des Andes, which is a more rounded, substantive wine. Drink through 2025.

Every element to this wine exudes class; it's what is not there that might reasonably leave the fortunate taster hanging.
