Saturday, December 23, 2023 - Decanted (off a fair amount of sediment) for an hour and a half and the wine continued to open into dinner. Dark purple in color with black fruits, red fruits and earth on the nose. The medium plus bodied palate showed blackberry, black currant, black cherry, cranberry, and raspberry plus spice, earth, and a touch of minerality. The juicy acidity was nicely balancing and the tannins were integrated.
A very satisfying bottle of wine that is ready to deliver considerable pleasure right now (with air), and probably for several years to come.
