Sunday, August 21, 2016 - Would normally decant but this opening was a surprise special occasion and this wine did not disappoint. I was surprised how well integrated and young it tasted. Dark purple in the glass with no bricking or mustiness or signs of significant age in this well-stored bottle. A big wine to be sure, with ripe red and black fruits and moderate tannins. I personally would continue to hold but I tend to like some of the nuances that only emerge with age.
