2/4/08: 1st bottle corked, 2nd bottle oxidised, and the team was beginning to think the Leeuwin was doomed. But along came bottle #3. I was really looking for any notes of oxidatation, and even though I sniffed and tasted some at first. But if they were there, they faded away over the course of 15 minutes. This was an excellent chard, which I would not have placed at 8 years old. Gorgeous tropical, honeyed fruit. The oak is barely present, and the acid keeps it crisp. It was impossible to stop drinking this wine. Still has some time left. 92+
