Thursday, April 11, 2024 - Great aged Sauternes consumed 20 years after the vintage. It had been in my cellar the whole time. Rich, caramelly and perfumed. It lacked the slight bitterness that Botrytis sometimes infuses. It was loved by everyone. If it had had a little bit more acidity, it would have scored better, but that is a tough ask of a very hot vintage like 2003.
