Saturday, June 21, 2014 - PnP after wine breather decant, based on previous reviews. My first experience with the wine breather and I think it made a difference. The wine really blossomed after the wine breather and the fruit became much more evident.

Nose of toast, old leather, black cherry and black currant.
Palate of pipe tobacco, leather, black cherry, smoke, and a hint of chocolate-covered espresso bean.
Amazingly textured mouthfeel and tremendously long finish. Great stuff.

We paired it with a plate fresh fruit (grapes, cherries, strawberries, and blueberries), Manchego, 10 year aged sharp cheddar and Spanish chorizo. Everything went well, especially the Manchego and the cherries, but the cheddar was too much for this (any?) wine.
