95 Points

Tuesday, April 10, 2007 - In the glass brilliant, crystal clear, brown red hue. The nose is open, sensationally good, so complex it's hard to describe: cherries in liquor, raspberry ganache, strawberry jam, dried fruit, leather, tar, toasty oak with coffee notes, really dark chocolate and hints of mint and eucalyptus. The palate is focused, harmonious and ready to enjoy. Lots of chewy oak tannins, still the wine is fresh and succulent with a superlong aftertaste. The new barriques are a just a slight too dominant in our opinion. One of the best wines ever tasted from Piedmont.
