A fantastic nose. Mature yet bright with autolytic, beautiful Maillard notes, honeyed, floral, with terrific freshness. Laser sharp and finely detailed on the palate. A fine fading bead, becoming more vinous texturally, yet losing no freshness. Bright and detailed on the palate, with citrus as much as orchard fruit, hazelnut, and most of all a sense harmony. A complete wine and one of the best Champagnes I have had in years. Fantastic. I do not see this bottle with terrific provenance to be fading soon, but I also doubt it will get much better.
