Sunday, October 9, 2022 - Opaque red, very slight fading at the edges. Aromas of blackberry and cherry. Intense yet polished on the palate with dark fruits. Smoked meats, blackberry, hint of cherry, warm spices. The small amount of Petite Sirah is noticeable on the mid-palate. Smooth tannins, bright acidity, wonderful balance. With air it becomes brighter with a bit of anise and pepper. Finishes long and smooth with blackberry notes. 63% Syrah; 19% Mourvedre; 13% Grenache; 3% Petite Sirah. 15.3% ABV but not hot. Should drink well for another 10 years. Even at 12 years old it may have some improvement in front of it.
