Tuesday, February 10, 2015 - Medium red and clear in the glass with prominent brown/orange hues. Wonderfully fragrant with roses, anise, and black fruit notes. Red fruit, anise, tobacco on the palate, supported by fine, chalky tannins and moderate acidity. Long powdery finish. There are also some beautiful cocoa/coffee notes.

I agree with SEPSIS, that this one is perhaps richer than other Barbarescos. But it still is quite firm and has the quality of weightlessness and elegance that makes Barbarescos so appealing to me.

Delightful, Powerful, and Subtle.
