Wednesday, August 9, 2017 - Very expressive nose right upon opening. Classic, developing, Nebbiolo aromas of dried cherry, mashed raspberry, forest floor, dried rose petal, mushroom, paint bucket and slight tar. After a while the perfume starts to fade and leaving just raisin-y fruit, root veggies, bonfire and tar.

Very smooth and rounded up on the palate. Medium bodied with the acidity intact but the tannins are almost gone. Dried red fruit, rose hips, forest floor and tar. Decent intensity and a lingering finish.

This one was far more developed than any 2008 Barbaresco I've had. Not a bad wine at all but I had some expectations and this was my first wine from this producer that I've heard so much great things about. Hopefully an off-bottle or maybe these are some fast maturing Barbaresco.
