93 Points

Friday, March 13, 2015 - Popped & poured. Dark crimson color showing little age. Initial aromas of violets, roasted game, black currant and leather. Initially a little thin on the palate with pronounced acidity, but nice black fruit, forest floor, herb, and leather flavors. Adds weight on the palate as it opens and sits in the glass. Plum, violets and black fruit on the finish which lingers for a bit, ending with a nice cedar quality. Very pretty. 93+ pts.
