Sunday, December 19, 2010 - Deep saturated purple color. Incredible nose of wild flower, rasberry, blackberry and a little vanilla. Taste of crushed dark fruit with a sweet berry component. Long finish and showed very well immediately after decanting. It was served single blind to me, but double blind to the rest at the table and it was interesting to note that the two French people at the table thought that it might possibly be a Napa Valley wine thrown in as a ringer - before calling it a St. Emilion. Drinking well now with plenty of life left in it. I'm not sure it will last 20+ more years like the 2000 Pichon Baron that we consumed side by side with this.
