Wednesday, August 20, 2014 - Drank with J$s at the Cape. Decanted for appx 30 minutes, and wish I had opened it earlier. Dark purplish color, generous nose of tobacco, coffee and cedar, medium bodied. Silky smooth with nice complexity and very long. But, this time around, the fruit tasted a bit green or perhaps a bit faded. As the wine sat in glass, it opened and improved but then, toward the end of the bottle, slipped backward once again. I enjoyed this wine but not nearly as much as the last time I had it a few months ago. Hopefully, it's just this bottle.
