Sunday, August 21, 2016 - I had this wine very recently and my notes are consistent, though I thought this time around the wine had a bit more weight and substance than at the last tasting (likely bc the 2000 Quinault that I had right before this was a lighter, thinner wine). Dark purplish color, generous nose of tobacco, coffee and cedar, medium bodied. Pleasant plummy smoothness, with nice complexity and very long. Lots of woodsy forest floor here too.
