Wednesday, December 7, 2016 - Now drinking, this wine was well worth the wait. A floral nose underpinned by cherry and plum is beautifully deep. On the palate the fruit continues but with subltle hints of apple. The tannin has softened but retained enough muscle to perfectly balance the wine giving a wonderful smoothness which continues right through to the finish. A complete wine and the best Canon La Gaffeliere I've tasted since the 1990 was in its prime. The only criticism would be that the finish is a little short and could have merited an even higher score.
