Monday, February 27, 2017 - In the sweet spot right now. Gorgeous to look at. Still quite dark red, lightening a bit at the rim but not rusting. Still nearly opaque. Quite decent legs as well. The bouquet is something to behold, perfumed, flowery, with classic cedar and lead pencil as well. Very delicate, but very intense. All of tis follows through to the palate, where the wine is punching way above its weight class. Wow, the flavors are just lovely, and the wine is almost weightless. I'd swear on a stack that this was a first growth, but obviously I'd burn. The ONLY "flaw" in the ointment is a tiny bit of woody bitterness on the otherwise long, impressive finish. Saved the best bottle for last. 5-14-18-9: 96/100.
