Wednesday, March 11, 2020 - This is a wonderful elegant wine, which is drinking at its prime. It has lost its rougher edges and now is out performing the 1990 in its prime. The nose is beautifully perfumed with red cherry, plum and flora. The tannin has fully resolved and is sweet and balanced on the palate. Previously I was a little critical of the finish, but the last year has seen it improve with length and balance. This only needs a couple of hours in the decanter, but should stay here for a good few years.
