Friday, September 4, 2015 - Pnp and drank over 6 hours. Very focused and concentrated ripen blue fruit nose dominates without overt chocolate like regular caymus cab. The opening is more restrained and elegant but still very powerful. It's more like a sexy woman, and regular cab is more like charming teenager. On the palate, refined texture with bones of cab showed this wine can be approached either early or couple of decades. The full body and complex flavors (cassis/ plum/ blueberry/ smoky/ licorice) reminded me vintage ports! What a great definition of Napa Cab. Additionally, matured tannin and licorice makes a minute lasting possible. This is so good even side by side drank with 2012 Bevan Cellars EE.

11/9/2015 7:41:00 PM - I have had that 2012 Bevan EE and it is the best of their 2012 lineup. I might have to do my own showdown between these two wines now. Thanks for the idea!
