Sunday, September 6, 2009 - The bottle was in outstanding condition and the wine looked perfect, bright yellow with some gold. The nose was muted for several hours and the favors were nice but nothing spectacular. It took a full five hours for this wine to slowly build to its peak! At that point the nose had developed to show apples, pear, and citrus with a white limestone complexity that was captivating.
In the mouth, this wine was quite dramatic and complex with spectacular length. I would bet that, most of the time, this wine has been consumed before it was showing its best. Top notch.
