Friday, December 29, 2006 - Hazy note. Lovely nose, with straw, quince, oxidation and rotten bananas. A fair bit of oxidation on the palate, more than the first bottle - Savennieres can be a crap shoot for oxidation. Still, it improved on the second night, and had a lovely clarity and precision to it: a slightly oily texture, more quince, pears, lime and other citrus notes. Those with less tolerance for oxidation would probably have scored this lower.
