Saturday, July 9, 2016 - This was one bottle in a case stored in a garage since purchase and was given to me by a co-worker to try as a guinea pig. If she hadn't told me about the poor storage, I wouldn't have suspected it.
That said, this is a fairly typical Alexander Valley Cab, with dark fruit and a slight whiff of oak and cedar on the nose. Decent length on the palate, with the fruit and oak rather prominent.
I'm not a fan of Silver Oak and this didn't convert me, but it's a decent bottle of wine if you like this style. Drink up because I doubt this will hold much longer even with good storage.
