Wednesday, August 24, 2016 - Nose was very strong with funk initially, strong capers, pepper, jeans, then green green green, bell peppers, sage, etc. But the most profound similarity I got on the nose with this wine was it smelled like an IPA beer. Strong 7.0%+ IPA. Weird.

On the palate, very thin almost like a Pinot Noir. Surprised at how much this under-performed on the palate relative to its price range of $140+. Are you freaken kidding me? No this was not a flawed bottle. 13.5% ABV can maybe explain why. Second day it got even thinner and flatter. I was very offended. If this was a $12 wine, sure. But $140? I'm done.
