Monday, January 28, 2013 - Hannah's 25th birthday at R&D Kitchen, Santa Monica. A sledgehammer compared to the elegant Bordeaux that preceded it. Bold, burly and buttery. A perfect foil for the best-hamburger-ever, and fully drinkable now. Fairly subtle bouquet and medium legs. But the attack on the palate is substantial with chocolate notes throughout. Cherries, fudge and ever-so-subtle mint notes in the finish. A party in a bottle.
