Tuesday, June 4, 2013 - First sip immediately after opening bottle had huge tannins and a bit of berry, almost like tart cherry. As it sat, the wine improved quite a bit. An hour in, it was still bursting with bold tannins, bit the bitterness had faded a little. Two hours in, it was delicious. It still had the bold taste, but had the tiniest bit of sweetness to it. The tart cherry turned into dark berries, and I could pick up the absolute slightest hints of spice (maybe mint, clove, and basil) and cedar. Great value.
