Friday, November 15, 2019 - Medium matte purple. Faint spice on the nose, but nose on the PnP is very subdued. Palate is not. It has a healthy vivacity to it. It is juicy with some nice acidity with very fine tannins. There is fairly ripe black fruit. Guessing this is 14.5% abv. Criticism would say it's certainly straightforward and lacking complexity - we'll see if some air helps.

Update a couple hours on - Air did help, nose is more open. Palate is dark and plummy with a bit of cocoa. Coming into itself after being open in the bottle for about 3 hours.

Good bottle of wine but didn't take me to the highs the 2013 and 2014 of this label did. I had those with about 3-4 years of age, versus this at 9 years.
