I like to understand how critics score wine with the understanding of where it is and where it will go. No surprise here, this wine needs to sleep for a while. After an 8 hour decant, the wine seemed to be in a nice place, but nowhere near where it will be in the decades to come. Better off allowing this bottle to age naturally as opposed to throwing it into the decanter and trying to fast forward the clock. Will be exceptional in 10-20 years.
