Saturday, April 2, 2022 - Medium- garnet. Not much fruit left on the nose and hit with leather + forest floor on first sniff. Tannins still aplenty, some dry, dark fruit left on the palate but mostly earthy flavours (wet leaves stands out) and perhaps a little nutty. For a 34 year old wine it's still alive and kicking and delicious. Paired with Iranian food - Kashk-e-bademjan (aubergine side) with Jujeh Kebab (chicken skewers) and saffron rice. Lovely.
