Friday, March 22, 2024 - A backfilled bottle from a well known retailer and upon cutting the capsule, found a thin layer of mold / mildew on top of the cork. Nothing wrong once pulled, however. A bit of rubber funk at first and the wine seemed quite shut. Took 60-90 minutes to coax some fruit out and it was a pleasant nose. Fleeting exotic strawberry and roses. Palate however, was thin and mineral in the way that village level chambolle can be. The nose also felt like I was getting a free trial to what mugnier can actually pull off. Overall this was just really bad QPR hence why on my scale, it's a won't repurchase. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a vintage thing that's holding it back

Nose: 89-91 (it hit a high for about 5 seconds)
Palate: 89
