Friday, September 2, 2022 - Lots of sediment. Deep garnet.
Cassis, green pepper, graphite pencil, dustiness /earthiness /smokiness. Secondary/tertiary notes of raisin, leather.
Dry, bitter, med+ acid, med body, high tannins, short finish. Doesn't taste like much.
Drink up.
Edit:
T+20min: wine is opening up. Now yellow mustard (!), dried cherries. Starting to like it better.
T+60: a lot more fruit forward now. Dusty note has disappeared. Juicy black plum, cherries, green pepper, spices. Palate a lot more flavorful too, tannins a lot more integrated too. Excellent.
