Wednesday, October 5, 2016 - I have historically not been a great fan of the house style here due to experiences with a heavy ginger and oxidized character. This bottle was big and powerful with complex aromas already of the usual brioche and yeast notes. Palate is, as expected, youthfully coarse and bold with some early oxidative hints of toffee. Stoppered up and kept extremely cold the remaining half bottle til 2nd day: airing out has tamed this beast considerably. Oxidative hints have subsided and this shows promise for greatness in 7 to 10 years.
