Monday, September 2, 2019 - I always find the 2004 grande annee a little on the monolithic side but I don't think that it's any the worse for it. While it might not have the complexity of the 2002 of the fruit-forwardness of the 2005, it really majors on the shear power of its praline and hazelnut notes. It's probably the most expressive of the three vintages that I have mentioned. I'm not sure that this will improve but I don't think there's any major rush to drink these.
