Sunday, October 23, 2011 - Tasting with Ron at the Day Apartment: Showed best after 15 min air, then seemed to recontract a bit. The taught nose gave up slightly lactic tones before opening fully into a sweet tobacco panel of aromas which spoke most clearly towards the end of the glass. The sweet tobacco aroma reminded me of a Cannonau a bit--clear to see how some tasters consider this an unorthodox Brunello.
