A fine nose ofbergomot, quince and citrus notes. The initial tast is slightly offputting with disjointed flavors and a hot finish. Obviously very ripe clean fruit but made with only moderate sweetness. Almost demi-sec in sweetness but too ponderous due to the alcohol rather that cloying sweetness. I think this would show better as an German auslese style with more RS. Beginning to gain mature riesling flavors and began to open up with a little aeration. I'm not sure with what food this pairs either. I doubt that this will improve with age.
