Saturday, July 25, 2015 - Popped and poured. This is a good dark red wine with minimal sediment at the end of the bottle. On the nose, I get spice, pepper, and some bramble. In the mouth, this is smooth and spicy, leaving a finish marked by minerals and a bit of tannin. Overall, this is a rustic, pepper-shaker of a wine -- one without a lot of fruit that exists to amplify and accompany food rather than play a leading role. Still, this is some quality pepper. Drink now through 2022. 91 points.
