Very classic and restrained and none of the "chocolatey" opulence I would naturally associate with the higher end Guigals and especially the LaLas. It must be that the oak has largely integrated. I did not find either the lifted and floral aromatics imparted by viognier. This was opened at the end of the night and it is entirely possible this did not receive the attention. It deserved.
