Friday, September 5, 2014 - Decanted and poured, this gave a refined and expressive showing with red fruits, spice and granite on the bouquet. This wine gives and elegant and balanced showing. The color is a translucent medium to dark ruby that is youthful and vibrant. The medium bodied palate shows less power and density than the previous two vintages of this wine; however, the refinement and focus provide an excellent counterbalance. This is drinking well now with decanting and may improve with an additional year or two of bottle age.
