Friday, November 8, 2013 - This wine is truly characteristic of a Carmenere with its deep crimson red color, round texture, earthy aromas, and strong green pepper flavors. Decanting only intensifies it. It may have been harvested a bit too early in the season which may have contributed to the strength of the herbaceousness. But I paired this with a rich bacon wrapped chicken dish and it was wonderful. I will buy this again.
