Friday, August 1, 2014 - Deep ruby/dark red color, lots of sediment, very concentrade, both in the aromas and flavors. Initially it was a bit flat and muted, so I thought it was way past prime, but with some aeration it started to reveal itself and upon reaching the right temperature, it was inebriating the room with gorgeous red and black fruit aromas, vanilla, toast and spice aromas. Super concentrated, but also elegant, with nice acidity to balance the great body, tannins and alcohol, it was an oustanding showing. Nonetheless, I think it is better drinking it now or in the near future than waiting too long and missing its best. At $30 it's a very good QPR, not sure what the full price is.
