Friday, January 20, 2012 - Union des Grands Grus 2009 Bordeaux Tasting (Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles): Light and elegant on the nose, displaying aromas of black pepper spice, black plums, black currants, along with some mint. Lots of black pepper on the palate, along with black plum, asphalt, cassis, and herbs. Sandy tannins, with a medium finish ending with notes of herbs and black pepper. Quite simple without a lot of complexity. Good.
