Saturday, October 27, 2012 - Dense, dark, inky purple in colour. Smoke, anise and plum dominate on the nose. Palate pretty closed down but dominated by black fruit, savoury/bacon-y notes and some vanilla from oak. Long finish with tight but lush tannins. Nice drinking now but will undoubtedly improve.
