Thursday, June 11, 2020 - This impresses right away with a beautiful nose of violets, cherries and a hint of cigar box. The palate is rich, succulent and earthy with vanilla and dark black fruits followed by a strong tannic grip and a long, long finish. Classical in style and whilst drinking beautifully now, I would hold for another 2 - 5 years.
Day 2 and this has taken on more of a chocolate profile with the tannins a tad muted (best on day 1). Overall this is very good, needs more time but didn’t “wow” me.
