Thursday, September 8, 2005 - Still very tannic. Dense and dark. The standard OR pinot nose of dark earth, mushrooms and chocolate. A touch of caramel emerges with time. Nicely balanced mouthfeel with fresh acidity but rather austere on the finish. I will take a CA pinot over an OR pinot any day of the week.
