Sunday, October 4, 2020 - Not the kind of 2010 I was hoping for. Started flat and expected to open up but never did even after a 2 hour decant. I liked it but didn't;t have the depth I was expecting from this vintage.

To me it is always under rated and under valued....it tends to be softer and a more feminine wine but as far back as I can remember, 15 years seems to be the magic spot for it. Look around in the secondary market for an '01 or an '03, '05.......you'll probably get a little better idea of what this wine usually offers. It is not like a big Cali fruit bomb. It is soft, red velvet that develops some nice soft secondary characteristics, typically. Usually very nicely balanced and great with some French fare.......fwiw!
