Saturday, March 14, 2015 - The color was deep golden, and the nose was lemony with a hint of mustiness suggestive of a 20 year old wine. On the palate it was lemon oil, honeysuckle, and caramelized orange. The finish was long and had a hint of the mustiness that came through on the nose. Most surprising was how much acidity remained on the palate given the age of the wine. I don't see potential for further improvement.

    9/19/2016 3:57:00 PM - In response to a question I received about decanting this one, I note that we poppped and poured. With time in the glass, some of the funk on the nose blew off but the flavor profile did not change much. So I think decanting makes sense even if just for that advantage.
