Friday, December 27, 2013 - 57% Roussanne, 19% Petit Manseng, 17% Chardonnay and 7% Viognier …really dark metallic gold with green tinge color….nose of grilled peach, exotic white honey butter, lemon wax, honeysuckle. This is a different bird here for sqn white! Dark and creamy pit fruit as well as bright and tangy fresh acidic citrus. Again a great balance here…you have the richness of butter, wax, wood smoke, marmalade(apricot,peach) fruit…..but the freshness of tingly lemon, grapefruit, salty minerals. I guess the Petit Manseng is really mixing things up here? Killer tea spice, white flowers, long waxy and spicy finish. SUPER cool wine…and fun to drink!
